Heel slip in shoes
Heel slip with a snug forefoot often signals a narrow heel or too much length — sizing down can make the forefoot worse. Fix width and lacing before dropping a size.
Why does my heel slip out of shoes?
- Shoe is too long for your foot length (extra room at heel)
- Narrow heel pocket on a last built for average feet
- Low instep - laces cannot lock the midfoot
- Stiff new leather that has not molded yet (limited break-in fix)
How do I fix heel slip without sizing down?
